Fire Danger

(Undated) – High fire danger continued during the weekend and forest rangers joined local firefighters at scenes of numerous small wildfires.  The low humidity and high winds created the high fire danger, meaning that any outdoor fire had the chance to quickly spread.  None of the fires turned into major losses, though some structures have gone up in flames during the past two weeks.  Forest rangers remind people that even if a permit is not required for a cooking or heating fire, those who lit it have to make sure it’s completely out.
