“Johnny Remick, a Maine native, has literally lived coast to coast. . . and back again.”
“For 18-years Johnny Remick made America laugh. Although he retired from the comedy stage in 2007, he continued commercial acting and material writing for his comedic peers. He moved back to his family home on the Maine Coast during the summer of 2017 to focus on writing his book – Here, There, and All Over The Place: Quips, Quotes, and Quosters. ”
He says it’s the book that helped him focus on making it through this past winter. Johnny “J.R.” Remick was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer in October 2016 while living in LA. He moved back to Maine in August of 2017, as the cancer spread to stage 4. Johnny began chemo treatments in the latter part of August at the Mary Dow Center for Cancer Care at MCMH in Ellsworth and continues treatment every two weeks.
