Nationally CBS news is reporting that Republicans will maintain control of the Senate. Republicans need to have 218 seats to maintain their majority. There are currently 166 seats for the Republicans and 172 won by Democrats, CNN has projected that the Democrats will win the majority.
For State Senate District 7 it looks like Louis Luchini will win that seat over Rich Malaby.
Maine Senate District 8 has 5 of 7 precincts reporting that Kimberly Rosen leads challenger Beverly Uhlenhake by 226 votes.
For District Attorney Matthew Foster is ahead of Steven Juskewitch with 53% of the reported vote.
Nicole Grohoski has won the seat in House District 132 over Mark Remick.
Over half of the towns in Maine House District 134 have reported, showing a substantial lead for Genevieve McDonald over Philip Brady.
It looks right now like State Referendum, Question 1 will fail with 62% of Precincts Reporting that voters have rejected the measure. The 4 remaining bond issues look like they may pass.
