During the month of February, Downeast Senior College is offering weekly one-hour public brown bag discussions about topics of local interest. The discussions are held on Tuesdays from noon-1 pm at Ellsworth City Hall. The events are free and open to the public. Participants are invited to bring a brown bag lunch.
On Tuesday, Feb 14, John Curtis will begin his two-part talk titled “The Righteous Roots of Rock & Roll.” Curtis, an avid promoter of cross-cultural learning and appreciation, will tell this story in a series of historic film clips that feature sensational performances by legendary gospel and rock ‘n’ roll artists.
