Fishing Derby in Bucksport

The Bucksmills Road and Gun Club’s fishing derby will be held Sunday, Feb 18, weather and ice permitting, on Silver Lake in Bucksport. Registration begins at 7 am and fish must be weighed in by 3 pm at the boat landing parking lot. The cost is $2 for those under 16, $5 for ages 16 and over and $10 per family. There is a two-trap limit per person. There will be prizes for perch, pickerel and bass. Refreshments will be available for purchase: chili, fish chowder, hot dogs and hot and cold drinks. Shore prizes will be drawn at the end of the day.
