February 26, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Downeast Audubon is hosting a hike up to the exposed ridges of Sargent Mountain in Acadia National Park to search for Snowy Owls on Sunday, Feb 26, from 9 to 1 pm. A hike or snowshoe on the carriage roads then up the steep side of the ridge will give way to the easy yet cold walk along the ridge. Warning: This approximately four-mile hike is steep and strenuous even in moderate conditions. With snow and ice, only those comfortable with these conditions should attend. The event may be cancelled due to inclement weather or deep snow. Dress appropriately and bring walking sticks and ice creepers for your boots.  For more information, visit www.downeastaudubon.org.
