The 7th Annual House in the Woods fishing Derby on Great Pond in Great Pond, Hancock County is on Saturday, Jan 21. The derby will start at 6 am and the final weigh in will be at 3:30 pm.
Prizes for the longest fish will be the following:
Brown Trout: Jiffy Propane Ice Auger
Small mouth bass: Muzzleloader
Pickerel: Primos Trigger Shooting stick/110 Hunter Buck Knife.
The entry fee for the derby will be $5, which will also enter you into a drawing for several prizes. A 50/50 raffle will be available. Breakfast sandwiches bacon or ham will be for sale. At lunchtime homemade beef stew, chili, hot dogs, chili dogs, yeast rolls and many different kinds of sweets will be for sale. For more information, call Judy Manzo at 584-2000.
