Bert Yankielun will lead a family fun adventure teaching map and compass navigation on Saturday, June 16 from 9 to 11 am in Mariners Memorial Park in Deer Isle. Basic land navigation skills will be taught and then applied as you navigate a short route through the meadows of the park. No prior knowledge or skill is required. If you have a compass, bring it along. Some extra compasses will be available. This event is being sponsored by Island Heritage Trust. The suggested donation is $5.
