Plant Sale in Ellsworth

A spring plant sale will be held Saturday, May 20, from 8 to noon at the UMaine Extension Hancock County office, 63 Boggy Brook Road in Ellsworth. At 9 am, Reeser Manley will offer a session on gardening for biodiversity; at 10, Jan and Tom McIntyre will demonstrate square foot gardening; at 10:30, Mel Tardie will show how to make a self-irrigating planter system. Throughout the morning, MGV experts will be available to answer gardening questions and lead a hands-on children’s activity. Refreshments will be available.
