The American Red Cross is experiencing a severe blood shortage, due in large part to the pandemic. A typically high number of traumas and emergency room visits, as well as overdoses and resulting transplants, have caused blood supplies to plummet. The next Red Cross Blood Drive in Hancock County takes place Friday, June 25th from noon to 5 at the Bucksport United Methodist Church, located at 3 River Road.
