Smelt Fry in Columbia Falls

The Downeast Salmon Federation has set Saturday, April 15, for its annual Smelt Fry from 11 to 4 pm at Wreaths Across America in Columbia Falls. Fried smelts, moose stew, vegetarian baked beans, coleslaw, blueberry cobbler and beverages make up the menu. The cost is $7.50 per person. In addition, the association will bestow its “Passing of the Paddle” award in recognition of outstanding conservation efforts by community members.
