“Sonic Sea” Film at The Grand in Ellsworth

Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park will host a screening of “Sonic Sea,” a documentary film that explores the issue of oceanic noise pollution caused by intense military and industrial pursuits and its devastating effects on whales and other marine life around the world. “Sonic Sea,” which won two Emmy Awards in 2017, will be screened on Monday, Aug 20, at The Grand in Ellsworth, beginning with a cocktail reception from 6-7 p.m. The event is free of charge to the general public.
