The Steuben Historical Society is hosting a program on the history of Petit Manan Point on Thursday, Aug 8, at 7 pm at the Henry D. Moore Library in Steuben. In the late 1800s, the area was being developed to be the next Bar Harbor with 1,600 cottages planned along with hotels. The talk will cover the rise and fall of the many companies that tried to make it happen.
