The New England Steam Corp.’s “Touch A Train” event at the Washington Junction Yard on Railroad Siding Road in Hancock is happening on Saturday, June 10 from 9 to 1 pm. Admission is free. Sit in a diesel locomotive cab, ride the caboose “hop,” explore railroad equipment and meet the steam locomotive 470 restoration crew. Blow the whistle and ring the bell. Hats and T-shirts will be available, and there will be an H-O locomotives raffle, free Governor’s treats and more. Meet the Downeast Scenic crews, with a special afternoon train at 12:30 pm.
