Women, Infant and Children Nutrition Program (WIC)

The Women, Infant and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) is happy to announce their new locations in Washington County. WIC clinics are now being held at Eastport Healthcare and Harrington Family Health Center. These are additions to their main offices in Ellsworth, Machias and Calais and outreach sites in Bucksport, Stonington and Swan’s Island. Participants save an average of $60 per month for each person on the program by receiving vouchers for healthy foods including vegetables, fruits, milk, eggs, cheese, cereal, infant formula, tofu, peanut butter, beans, and much more. Pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, their infants and children under 5 are eligible if they receive MaineCare insurance, SNAP, TANF or are within the income guidelines.
