The City of Ellsworth is participating in this year's Relay for Life.  To help support their team, the Ellsworth Public Library will be selling feet for $1 each.  If you would like to purchase a foot, please ask a librarian!

The Penobscot United Methodist Church is hosting a pancakes and more breakfast on Saturday, May 25, from 7-9 am. Admission is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under. For more information, call 326-4885.

A yard sale to benefit MDI High School travelers to Europe in April 2020 will be held in the high school gym parking lot on Sat May 25 from 8 to noon. The sale will be held in fair weather only.

The Bucksport Garden Club’s Spring Plant and Bake Sale is scheduled for Sat May 25 from 9 to noon. There will be annuals, perennials, vegetable plants, pies, baked goods, crafts, books, raffle items and more.  The location is at 74 Main Street in Bucksport.

The 7th annual Plant Sale is being held at the Mariaville Grange, 1685 Mariaville Road in Mariaville on Sat May 25 from 9 to 4 pm. Vegetable seedlings, herbs, annual/bedding plants and perennials will be for sale.

There will be a public Open House Sat May 25 from 10 to 1 pm at the Moosabec Ambulance Station, 140 Main Street in Jonesport.  Refreshments, blood pressure screening and tours will be offered.  EMS personnel will be recognized as well in an awards ceremony.

The First Congregational Church of Ellsworth is hosting a Roast Turkey Supper on Saturday May 25th from 5 to 6:30 PM. The cost is $9 per person.  The church is located at 2 Church Street, behind the city hall and have accommodations for handicaps.  Please call Lois Stevens at 669-2028 for more information.  

The Jesup Memorial Library in Bar Harbor is hosting a contra dance featuring the Big Moose Band on Sat May 25 at 6:30 pm. An $8 donation for adults or $25 donation per family is requested to help pay the caller. Admission is free for children 12 and under. For more information, call 288-4245.

The Halcyon Grange is hosting local cover band Whippoorwill Wood for its monthly music and pie night on Saturday, May 25.  Doors open at 6:30 pm for pie, followed by music at 7.  Admission is $10 per person and $35 per family. The Grange is located at 1157 Pleasant St. in Blue Hill.
