Bird Carving Workshop in SW Harbor

The Wendell Gilley Museum in Southwest Harbor is looking for young artists, ages 10 and above, to create an Arctic tern silhouette. Come try your hand at different stages of the art of bird carving, from initial carving and supervised wood burning to painting. All levels are welcome and no previous experience is necessary. There will be four Saturday sessions, March 2–March 30, from 10-11:30 am. There is no class on March 23. It’s recommended to sign up for at least two or three classes to finish the project – no need to attend all four!
