Tours in Castine

The aroma of baking bread will be a major draw on Wed July 10 from 2-5 pm at the John & Phebe Perkins House at the Wilson Museum in Castine as fireside cooking is demonstrated (part of a guided tour) on the hearth. Tour visitors may enjoy some tasty morsels from the day’s fare as they learn about the Perkins family and how meals were prepared in the late 1700s and early 1800s. The John & Phebe Perkins House is located at 111 Perkins St. in Castine and is part of the Wilson Museum campus.  Guided tours begin on the hour and are $5 per person.
