Allen Workman, author of “Schoodic Point: History on the Edge of Acadia National Park,” will kick off the first of the Acadia National Park Centennial programs for the 2016 year at the Ellsworth Public Library on Saturday, Jan 23, at 10:30 am. His presentation will include the revolution of Schoodic’s landscape, history and transition into Acadia National Park and four centuries of the region’s human ecology as it shifted from logging, farming, and fishing to become an early nature preserve and more.

This presentation is being sponsored in part by the Gouldsboro Historical Society, of which Workman is secretary.
