An Acadia Centennial Celebration takes place on Saturday, Aug 27, at 8:30 am at Jordan Pond, Acadia National Park. Highlights will include The Centennial Singers — a chorus of 100 voices — a ceremony acknowledging the achievements of 100 Junior Rangers and special presentations.  A special parking lot and shuttle service will begin at 7 from Mount Desert Island High School. Lots at Jordan Pond House will be closed except for handicapped-accessible access.  For more information, call 288-8805.
