Apple Gleaning in Ellsworth

The Hancock County University of Maine Cooperative Extension and Healthy Acadia are hosting their annual apple gleaning event on Monday, Oct 26, from 8 to 3 pm. This year’s event will take place at Johnston’s Apple Orchard, located on the Branch Pond Road off Route 1A/Bangor Road in North Ellsworth. Join volunteers in harvesting end-of-the season apples for distribution to food organizations throughout Hancock County. Rain date is Oct 27.
