The Bar Harbor Garden Club plans to create origami valentine favors for the residents of Mount Desert Island nursing homes on Thursday, Feb 11, from 1 to 3 pm at the Somesville Fire Station. It is open to the public, but nonmembers are asked to call 244-1116 to reserve a seat. If weather conditions cause schools to be closed, the meeting will be rescheduled.
