The First Congregational Church of Blue Hill, UCC, will host a benefit concert for Healthy Peninsula’s Magic Food Bus on Oct 24 at 7 pm. The concert will feature Midcoast Maine singer-songwriters David Dodson, Dean Stevens, Dillon Bustin and John and Rachel Nicholas. The Magic Food Bus is ending its fifth successful summer of offering free locally grown fruits and vegetables and books for summer reading for children and adults.
With the help of community organizations and volunteers, the Magic Food Bus delivers food and books at 12 stops in four towns — Sedgwick, Deer Isle, Stonington and Blue Hill — and is extending its summer season until the end of October.
The suggested donation for the concert is $15 and tickets can be purchased in advance at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2259527 or at the door.
