April 2, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Dance to the steel drum sounds of Flash! in the Pans, Planet Pan and the Rhythm Rockets on Saturday, April 2, at George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill from 7-9 pm.  Come at 6 pm if you’d like to enjoy an Italian or Asian meal prepared by chefs Frank Bianco and Lu Li for only $10. The dance will honor the late Mary Chase of Brooksville, whose son Carl singlehandedly started the peninsula’s steel drum scene in the 1970s. Carl now directs Flash! with his son Nigel.   A suggested $5 donation at the door will support the Island Nursing Home, where Mary spent her final days.
