Benefit Pumpkin Smashing Event in Ellsworth

There will be a pumpkin smashing event to “smash cancer one pumpkin at a time” on Thursday, Oct 29, at Hairbenders Salon in Ellsworth. All proceeds will benefit the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center and the Mary Dow Center. The pumpkin smash will be at 4 pm, followed by light refreshments. A $5 donation is suggested.
People are invited to write the name of the person they would like to honor or remember and the type of related cancer on a paper pumpkin that will be on display at the salon throughout October. Headlines Hair Salon, First Impressions, Coastal Image, Amy’s Hair Salon, Hilites, Motifs Hair & Tanning, Salon 78, Creative Cuts, Suzy’s Scissor Shack and Turning Heads are also sponsoring the event.
