
Birding Walk in Lamoine

Frenchman Bay Conservancy and Downeast Audubon are partnering to present “Birding the Woods & Waters of Lamoine” on Sunday, May 19 from 7 to 10 am. Meet at the Simon Trail in Lamoine for a one-mile walk for warblers and hawks. Afterward, there will be an optional five-minute drive to Marlboro Beach to look for ducks with great views of MDI. Pre-registration is required.
Directions: On coastal Route 1N in Ellsworth, turn right on Douglas Highway (Route 184) and drive 2.8 miles. Immediately past the Lamoine Town Hall, turn left on Pinkham’s Flats Road (Route 204, which becomes Partridge Cove Road) and drive 2.3 miles to the Simon Trail parking lot on the right.
