Birdsacre’s 100th Anniversary

On Saturday, July 30, from 10 to 2 pm, come celebrate Birdsacre’s 100th anniversary of Cordelia J. Stanwood launching her pioneer photographic career with an open house and free barbecue. There will be a hands-on demonstration of the antique technique of coloring Stanwood photographs, as described by Stanwood.  For kids, there is a treasure hunt and face painting, and children’s book author Rebekah Raye will be signing her new book.  Owl talks, a door prize painting, live music and a panorama of Stanwood’s career in glass plate, historic and avian photographs, will comprise the rest of the day.
