Volunteers are needed to brush trails and construct a bog bridge at Corea Heath Preserve in Corea on Saturday, August 15, from 9 to noon. Participants should wear sturdy shoes (not sandals) and work clothes. Please bring work gloves, drinking water, sunscreen, hat/sunglasses, and bug spray. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own equipment such as brush trimmers, hand saws, loppers, pruning shears. Some equipment will be available. Chainsaws can only be used by volunteers who have a chainsaw safety certificate on file with Frenchman Bay Conservancy in advance of the event. From the Sullivan side of the Hancock-Sullivan line, drive 9.1 miles on coastal Route 1 N. Turn right onto 195 South to Prospect Harbor and Corea. Stay on 195S (Pond Road) for 4.8 miles. At the 186 junction in Prospect Harbor, turn left, drive 0.1 mile and turn right on 195 (Corea Road). Drive on 195 for 2 miles and look to the left for FBC’s sign and parking
