Ann and Bill Rioux have graciously offered to open their Farmhouse Inn to the people of the Blue Hill peninsula for a community Thanksgiving celebration. They hope to serve 200 meals. Excited about the announcement, “Ann related that she and Bill hope that this will be the first of many community meals at the inn.”
The date is Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2015. There will be three settings 12 noon, 1PM, and 2PM. Reservations will be accepted by calling Ann or Bill at 374-5286. The Inn is located at 587 Pleasant Street (also known as Route 15) in Blue Hill. There will be no charge for the meals. If people wish to make contributions, they will be donated to the Tree of Life food pantry.
If you need a ride, transportation will be provided by Friends In Action. Please call Jo Cooper at 664-6016 to request transportation. Volunteers, who wish to drive people to the Inn, are also asked to call Jo Copper. The deadline for making reservations for the meal and requesting transportation is Monday, November 23rd.
If people wish to help Ann and Bill by cooking, baking, waiting on tables, setting up and cleaning up, please call either of them at the Inn, 374-5286.
“We hope that those who might be alone or anyone wanting to share the holiday spirit will join our family for this festive day of celebration”, Ann and Bill concluded.
