The 9th Annual Down East Cancer Conference, Feed Your Body, Feed Your Soul: It’s Not Just About Chemo and Radiation, will be Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel & Event Center, 119 Eden Street, Bar Harbor from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Registration begins at 8:00 AM.
The keynote speaker is Robert Keteyian, Counselor and Communications Consultant from Ellsworth, who will speak on “Courageous Conversations with Loved Ones.”
Dr. Jens Rueter. a hematologist/oncologist at EMMC Cancer Care, will talk on “How Oncology Research Benefits the Cancer Patients in Maine.”
In addition there will be an Innovative Therapies panel of cancer survivors who will speak on new treatments and options.
Workshop topics include Mindfulness and Self-Care. Nutrition and Cancer, and Men Living with Cancer.
Complementary Therapy sessions are available throughout the day. There will be exhibitors from health agencies, therapy providers and various health and nutrition agencies and businesses.
Lunch is complimentary and there will be door prizes.
