“Open for Business” is the theme of the first Downeast Business Expo, which will be held at the Ramada Inn at 215 High St. in Ellsworth on Friday, Nov 6, from noon to 7 pm. The event is a great way to kick off the holiday shopping season and promote local businesses in Hancock and Washington counties. Retail businesses will have their holiday best out and ready to help you start on that daunting list. Feel free to visit with local financial experts, shop for smartphones and eat some tasty treats
You can sign up to win 100 gallons of heating oil from Hometown Fuel, a hand-held leaf blower courtesy of Ellsworth Chainsaw or a $100 gift card from EBS, or try your luck at a cash grab booth with Bangor Savings Bank.
