Earth Day Surry Road Clean-Up

On Saturday, April 23, the Surry Community Improvement Association (SCIA) will sponsor an Earth Day Surry Road Clean-Up. The event is designed to collect and dispose of all of the roadside trash that has accumulated over the winter. People are asked to meet at the Surry Elementary School at 9 a.m. so that clean-up areas can be assigned. The activity is scheduled to go from 9 a.m. to noon and will be followed by a light lunch of hot dogs, chips and drinks at the school.
