Your Place Inc. (YPI) Recovery and Community Center, in sponsorship with Machias Bank, is holding
its second annual Empty Bowl fundraising event at Your Place on Sat Nov 9 from 5-6:30 pm, to
highlight the ongoing problem of food insecurity both in and out of the local recovery community.
On offer will be hearty vegan, vegetarian and meat-based soups, homemade bread, and an array of
brownies and cookies for dessert.
Attendees have the option of enjoying a delicious soup in a homemade, artisanal bowl graciously
donated by potters located throughout Hancock County. The suggested price for soup in one of
these bowls—which guests may take home—is $25.
Proceeds go to supporting Your Place Recovery and Community Center.
