Free income tax filing will be offered at four sites in Washington County, including Porter Memorial Library in Machias. Other sites include Peabody Memorial Library in Jonesport, Maine Seacoast Mission Cherryfield, and
Milbridge at the Historical Society. The service is offered through AARP Foundation’s Tax Aide program by trained volunteers certified by
the IRS to help taxpayers receive all federal and Maine tax benefits. The service is designed for low to moderate income taxpayers, there is no age restriction.
