Freedom Fest For Travis Mills Veteran’s Retreat

Marine Veteran Tim Chambers, known as The Saluting Marine for his tribute salute during Rolling Thunder, will usher in Maine’s First Lady Ann LePage with the Maine Patriot Guard Riders during Freedom Fest 2015 in Columbia Falls, Maine on Saturday, September 26, 2015.
The Maine State Council of the Knights of Columbus organizes the first annual Freedom Fest, sponsored in part by Wreaths Across America, and the proceeds from the event will benefit the Travis Mills Veteran’s Retreat.
Duane Belanger, Veteran’s Program Director with the Maine State Council Knights of Columbus, says riders participating in the bike run will gather at 8:00AM with kickstands going up at 9:00AM. They’ll depart the Travis Mills Retreat in Rome, Maine and proceed on to Wreaths Across America Headquarters and the Balsam Valley Amphitheater.
“As participating riders enter the amphitheater they’ll be saluted in by The Saluting Marine, Tim Chambers, in full uniform,” explains Belanger. “At that point there will be music and presentations by the First Lady, and an appearance by Travis Mills.”
There will be a collection point for the bike run at the Cole Land Transportation Museum in Bangor and Belanger says they expect riders to come in from New Hampshire as well.
The gate at Balsam Valley Amphitheater will open for the Freedom Fest 2015 at Noon with the arrival of the bike run anticipated around 1:30pm.
