GET WET! Talk in Lamoine

John Peckenham, associate director of the Sen. George J. Mitchell Center for Sustainability at the University of Maine, will present a summary of what we have learned from 10 years of data gathered through GET WET! (Ground Water Education Through Water Evaluation Testing) on Wednesday, June 10, at 6:30 pm at Lamoine Consolidated School. The program started in Lamoine and has now spread to other parts of the country. The program allows students in grades 5 through 12 to collect data on ground water quality and has established a ground water monitoring network. Light refreshments will be served.
