The Gouldsboro Historical Society is hosting a talk titled “They Grow Not Old – The Tragic Life of Phillip Shaw Wood Jr.” on Monday, Aug 7 at 7 pm at their headquarters. Wood was a World War II pilot from Gouldsboro whose fate typifies so many lost in combat. The talk will be presented by the Rev. Charles A. Joy. For more information, call 963-7217.
