Halloween Fun Run in Stonington

Imagine the fun of a competition filled with costumed runners dashing through town as they complete a course that begins and ends at the Island Community Center. All this fun while supporting the Island Community Center and its programs.

The race fee will be $10 adults, $5 for children 10 and under.
The runners will register at ICC beginning an hour before race start (9am). All ages welcome, but anyone less than 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

For those joining us downtown to cheer on their favorite costumed runner – BUSINESSES ARE HANDING OUT CANDY. Many thanks go out to the businesses for all their support! We appreciate is very much.

The course will run from the Island Community Center, down Highland Avenue, through Main Street and up around the Cemetery Road then back to the Community Center. For those less enthusiastic, please feel free to take the Pink Street (the Pasture) back to the Community Center. We will all gather back at the Community Center for hot and cold cider, cookies and awards.

Have you ever seen a rhino in a pink tutu running in a race? Well maybe you will at the Fun Run! Everyone is encouraged to dress in a costume. Get creative and don’t be shy. There will be trophies for Most original, most creative, cutest and scariest, plus whatever else might knock the judges socks off.

If you are not into running please feel free to walk the course. You can also come and cheer on the crazy costumed competitors as they race to the finish, then join everyone up at the Island Community Center for cider & cookies.
