The Hancock County Genealogical Society will meet on Saturday, April 14, at 10 am at the Ellsworth Public Library. The topic for this meeting is “Climbing a Portuguese Family Tree, Searching for Ancestors of Francisco Manoel Gaspar.” Wayne Smith will detail his trip to the Azores in search of his great-great-great-grandfather with only a calculated birth date and the name of one island.
