A harvest festival to benefit the Schoodic Summer Chorus is scheduled for Sunday, Oct 9, from 4 to 7 pm at Hammond Hall in Winter Harbor. All are welcome to attend an afternoon of song and a delicious harvest meal.
Performers will include the Schoodic Summer Chorus; the University of Maine at Machias Ukulele Club; Gus La Casse, a 15-year-old, hard-driving Acadian/Cape Breton fiddler; Anna Dembska and the Ad Hoc Consort: Smokin’ Baroque; Steven Shepsi Eaton: sing-along American folk, original piano and more; Kelly Farm: folk, blues, country, rock ‘n’ roll, and early 20th-century pop; and the Maine Balkan Choir: powerful traditional choral music from Eastern Europe.
