Ellsworth: Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County is offering a series of nine new support groups for people who are grieving the loss of a loved one, beginning April 13 and running through early June. Each group is offered according to a specific type of loss, all are free of charge and require pre-registration one week prior to start date.

Widows, Widowers & Partners (8 weeks)
Thursdays, April 16-June 4, 11a.m.-1 p.m.
(bring bag lunch)
Thursdays, April 16-June 4, 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Parents Who Have Lost a Child (8 weeks)
Wednesdays, April 15-June 3, 10 a.m.-12.
Adults Who Have Lost a Parent or Sibling (8 weeks);
Mondays, April 13-June 1, 10 a.m.-12.
Those Who Have Lost a Loved One through Suicide (8 weeks);
Tuesdays, April 14-June 2, 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Those Who Have Lost a Veteran Loved One
(8 weeks); Wednesdays, April 15-June 10, 3-5 p.m.
* To be held at the VFW, Ellsworth.
Those Who Have Lost a Loved One to AIDS (8 weeks)
Wednesdays, April 22-June 17, 10 a.m.-12.
* To be held at Down East AIDS Network, Ellsworth.
Graduate Group (8 weeks)
For those who have completed two or more HVHC bereavement groups.
Fridays, April 17-June 5, 10 a.m.-12.
Those Who Are Grieving the Loss of a Pet
Workshop & Support Group (2 weeks)
Co-presented with Hancock County SPCA and Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home.
Fridays, April 17, 1-4 p.m. & April 24, 1-3 p.m.
