Field of Flags in Blue Hill

Peninsula Peace & Justice invites the community to participate in the Iraq War Dead Memorial on Main Street in downtown Blue Hill on Saturday, June 20, at 10 am. For the 11th successive year, this memorial will be established as a visible reminder of the ongoing human cost of war. White flags are planted to represent the lives lost in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, in Pakistan and in other parts of the Middle East. The Field of Flags is located on Main Street, between the Blue Hill Library and the Blue Hill Congregational Church. Everyone is invited to participate. For more information, call 326-4405.
