The next meeting of the Searsport Historical Society is this Tuesday, May 12th at 7pm in Curtis Hall on Church Street in Searsport. Guest speaker is Jay Holweger (HALL-wigger). Jay and his K9 buddy, Maddy, served with the Maine Search and Rescue dogs for eight years and they’ll be doing an overview of Search and Rescue, K9 rescue, scent theory and how it all works together in finding lost and missing persons in Maine. This program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will follow the meeting.
