Each third Friday throughout the summer, join docent Joseph Greeley at the Jonathan Fisher House in Blue Hill (44 Mines Road) for an outdoor cooking demonstration of a historical recipe and technique. The free cooking demos begin at 1 p.m. , and visitors are encouraged to watch and ask questions. Tours of the Jonathan Fisher House are available from 1 to 4 for a suggested $10 donation, and visitors are always welcome to self-tour the grounds and the tool exhibit in the Slaven Barn on the property. (July 1 is Port a la Normadie, a pork stew made with cider and apples – recipe originated in the Normandy region of France.) Contact: Hannah Cyris – 374-2459
