Lotions & Potions Children’s Program at Northeast Harbor Library

On Monday, August 1, at the Northeast Harbor Library, there will be a children’s program sponsored by the Maine Discovery Museum called Lotions and Potions & Scientific Notions.  While making their own beauty products, students will explore the principles of molecules, sensory, perception and the history and importance of personal hygiene.  In addition, students will learn about olfactory sense and the structure and purpose of medicinal herbs and plants.  Recommended for ages 5 and up.  Space is limited.  Two sessions will be offered.  To reserve a spot, register with Robin in the children’s room, otherwise first come, first served.  The first session will be offered at 10:30 am and the second at 11:15 am in the Mellon Room.
