Heart of Ellsworth is celebrating Maine Seaweed Week, April 25th through May 4th, with a variety of events and activities. Currently, they’re looking for local businesses and nonprofits that are interested in participating by volunteering, offering specials, or hosting an event of their own. The activities will include a seaweed-themed walk coinciding with Jane’s Walk weekend on Saturday, May 3rd, exploring local downtown Ellsworth businesses that sell products produced with Maine seaweed, while learning about the sustainable and innovative ways seaweed is shaping Maine’s food and wellness industries.
