Maine Writers Series at UMM

The University of Maine at Machias will host author Jon Keller in its ongoing Maine Writers Series on Friday, Nov. 20, in the Art Gallery at Powers Hall. There  will be a 4 p.m. reading, questions and answer session, and book signing, followed at  5 p.m. by refreshments with the author.

Keller’s acclaimed debut novel, Of Sea and Cloud, was inspired by his years of working in the lobstering culture of Maine. Keller received an MFA in fiction from Boise State and taught at the University of Montana before leaving work aboard a lobster boat in Maine. Keller now lives year-round on a sailboat on the coast of Maine and returns ot the Montana backcountry to guide each fall.
