The Surry Community Improvement Association is hosting a mid-winter soup/chowder and cookie competition. The event is open to the public and will be held from 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, Feb 17, at the Surry Elementary School. Those attending will have the opportunity to sample up to 10 soups/chowders and a variety of cookies. A $5 per adult donation is suggested. If you have a favorite soup, chowder or cookie that you would like to enter in this event, call Al (412-0078) or Dave (667-4260) for additional information.
