Healthy Acadia’s INSPIRE Recovery Center is hosting an Overdose Awareness Day Event on Saturday, August 31st, beginning at 5 p.m.  The event will feature a candlelight vigil and speeches from people impacted by overdose.  In the days surrounding the event, 607 silk roses will be displayed on the fence at Knowlton Park, symbolizing each life lost to overdose in Maine in the past year.  The Center is located at 24 Church Street, and the event is open to all.
