This year’s Perseid meteor shower promises to have double the meteors – 150 an hour. It peaks on Saturday, Aug 13 but there will be plenty to see on Friday, Aug 12, for a viewing. Meet at the Great Pond Mountain Wildlands South Gate on Friday at 9 pm to walk in about a mile (you may also drive if you need to). Bring something to lie on and bug spray.
